How it works.
Your next move, one clear step at a time.
A California property marketplace where buyers submit complete offers and sellers choose what fits their priorities. Here is what to expect, from your first visit to the transaction room.

Selling a property
Present your home clearly. Compare the full picture. Keep the decision yours.
Have these ready
- Your identity document
- Property details and photographs
- Evidence of ownership or authority to sell
- 1
Create your seller account
Register as a seller and complete identity verification. Your account and identity review are separate from the review of your property.
- 2
Tell the property's story
Add the address, home details, photos and sale preferences. Upload private evidence of ownership or authority to sell, then submit your property for staff review.
- 3
Prepare for publication and bidding
Submit your property once, then respond to any staff review feedback in your dashboard. Staff approval publishes the property details and clean photos; ownership documents stay private. No separate listing submission is required. Staff manage the auction schedule.
- 4
Compare complete offers and choose
After bidding closes, review price, funding, deposit, proposed closing and other terms together. Choose your preferred buyer after reviewing the offer version. The highest price does not automatically win.
Buying a property
Discover the right property and make an offer you are prepared to stand behind.
Before submitting an offer
- Completed identity verification
- A complete buyer profile
- Current funding verification
- 1
Explore before you register
Browse published properties, photos, asking prices and general locations without an account. Create a buyer account to save properties and searches.
- 2
Complete identity and funding checks
Complete identity verification, your buyer profile and proof of funds. Staff review these separately. Current buyer eligibility is required to see full addresses and submit offers.
- 3
Review the listing and submit your terms
Check the property's details, bidding schedule and applicable rules. Submit the complete offer, including funding, deposit, closing timeline and conditions. A seller's asking price is not a guaranteed sale price.
- 4
Follow your offer and the seller's decision
Track your bids and retained versions in your dashboard. Revise or withdraw only when the listing rules allow it. If the seller selects your offer, continue in the private transaction room.
Selected offer. Shared next steps.
Seller selection opens a private transaction room for the buyer and seller. Follow the selected terms, milestone deadlines, required evidence and progress in one place.
Upload documents when requested and follow staff review feedback. Choosing a buyer does not sign a purchase contract, transfer ownership or complete escrow. Those remain separate steps with the appropriate parties.
Good to know
Straight answers before you start.
Is this a traditional auction?
No. It is a seller-controlled marketplace for comparing complete real-estate offers. The highest price does not automatically win.
Who can submit an offer?
Buyers must satisfy the platform’s applicable identity and funding-verification requirements before submitting a new offer.
How is authority to sell reviewed?
Sellers provide relevant evidence, automated tools may organize it, and assigned staff complete the consequential review. A name or document match alone is not proof of current title.
Does Home Equity Auction hold escrow funds?
No ordinary marketplace or company operating account should be treated as real-estate escrow. Closing coordination will involve an appropriate authorized partner.
Is the service available outside California?
California is the initial market. Additional locations have not been confirmed.
