Cookie Policy

This notice describes the cookies and browser storage currently used by the Home Equity Auction website.

Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small pieces of data saved by your browser and sent with relevant website requests. Local storage keeps preferences in the browser without automatically sending them with each request. Both are used to support features you choose.

What we currently use

Current cookies and browser storage, their purpose and duration
Cookie or storagePurposeDuration
Login session cookieMaintains your website session and authorized access.Expires according to the session timeout; signing out invalidates your session.
XSRF-TOKEN cookieHelps protect account and other requests from forgery.Uses the website's configured session lifetime and is refreshed as needed.
Remember me cookieKeeps you signed in when you select Remember me at login.Persists until its expiry or until remembered access is ended, such as by signing out.
Admin display preferences (local storage)Remembers the theme and sidebar layout you choose.Remains in this browser until changed or cleared.
Cookie settings (local storage)Remembers your analytics choice and the notice version.Your choice is valid for 365 days. A new notice version or clearing site data asks you to review it sooner.

Analytics and advertising

Optional first-party listing analytics are off by default. If you enable them in Cookie settings, signed-in buyer listing visits contribute to daily aggregate counts shown to the property seller. Repeat visits are deduplicated for 30 minutes using a short-lived server-side key. The daily totals contain no visitor account, IP address, or contact details. No analytics or advertising cookies are added, and no third-party analytics or advertising service receives these counts. Advertising remains off. Turning analytics off stops future counting; already aggregated counts remain. Anonymous, seller-own and staff visits are not counted.

Managing your choices

The notice appears on your first visit. After you accept, it disappears and your choice is remembered in this browser for 365 days. It appears again when that period ends, when the notice version changes, or if you clear site data. If your browser blocks saving preferences, the choice is remembered for the current visit only.

Use Cookie settings in the website footer or at the end of a policy page to review your choice at any time. Saving settings starts a new 365-day period. Your choice applies to this browser, rather than to every device on your account. It is separate from accepting the Terms and Conditions and acknowledging the Privacy Policy during registration.

Necessary cookies support sign-in and security and cannot be switched off through the website settings. You can block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser controls, but sign-in and some requested features may stop working. Clearing site data also removes your saved cookie and display preferences.

Remembered sign-in

Remember me is optional and is selected separately on the login form. Leave it unchecked if you do not want persistent sign-in. Signing out ends remembered access from that login.

Privacy information

The Privacy Policy explains the current handling of account, property and private-document information. This is a pre-launch notice; final production privacy procedures remain subject to the review described in that policy.

Necessary cookies

Always active

Keep sign-in working and protect requests. Remember me is enabled only when you select it at login; sign out to end remembered access.

Browser preferences

We save these cookie settings and, when you choose them, admin theme and sidebar preferences. Clearing site data removes saved preferences.

Off

If enabled, signed-in buyer visits contribute to aggregate listing view counts. A server-side deduplication key expires after 30 minutes; sellers receive no visitor identities. Turn this off to stop future counting. Advertising remains off.
